Cremation is a practice whereby the body is burned in a crematorium or on a pyre. The cremains are then carefully conserved and stored in urns that are placed in a columbarium niche or scattered in meaningful locations. People choose cremation for traditional or personal reasons. For those who may wish to be cremated, this doesn't mean that they do not want to be memorialized.
